Established in March 2022 through the succession of Mitsubishi Chemical’s alumina fiber business, the MAFTEC is a specialized manufacturer that produces and sells the Polycrystalline Alumina Fiber MAFTECTM. Since we began developing our products in 1980, we have continuously refined our technologies, and today we deliver high-quality, high-performance products to customers around the world through a robust supply framework. We strive to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the market and to create new products that further enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to society.

- MAFTECTM development started at Mitsubishi Chemical Industries
- 1985 Dec.
- MAFTECTM production plant built at Naoetsu Plant, Kasei Naoetsu, and supply of thermal insulation products started
- 1997 May.
- Supply of automotive substrate support mats began
- 1998 Oct.
- Continuous blanket production equipment for automotive applications was installed at the Naoetsu Plant of Mitsubishi Chemical Functional Products Co., Ltd.
On the same site, MAFTEC OBMTM production facilities were installed and supply started

- MAFTECTM production facility built at Sakaide Plant, Mitsubishi Chemical, and supply started
- 2022 Mar.
- Mitsubishi Chemical’s MAFTECTM business transferred to Apollo Global Management Group, and launched as MAFTEC Co., Ltd.

- MAFTEC Group Co., Ltd., which holds the group’s management functions, absorbed MAFTEC Co., Ltd. (the surviving company name changed to MAFTEC Co., Ltd.).
