Exhibiting at AISTech 2025 in the US (Exhibition Report)
At AISTech 2025, an exhibition hosted by the American Iron and Steel Technology Society (AIST), MAFTEC Corporation (Head office: Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kosuke Matsuzaki; hereinafter referred to as MAFTEC), together with JFE Shoji Trade Corporation (Head office: Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Norifumi Sobue; hereinafter referred to as JFE Shoji Trade) and JFE Shoji Trade USA, exhibited thermal insulation products. The exhibition was held in Nashville, Tennessee, USA from May 5th to 7th, and several people from MAFTEC, JFE Shoji Trade’s Equipment and Materials Trading Office, and JFE Shoji Trade USA each participated.
At this exhibition, JFE Shoji Trade’s Materials and Equipment Trading Office exhibited and promoted MAFTEC™, a key insulation material, as well as Skid Post Blocks, which insulate and protect the skid posts of steel heating furnaces and feature low heat capacity, high temperature durability, and crack resistance, and Burner Blocks, heat-resistant components that surround the burner combustion area and feature high wind corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance, and crack resistance.
The exhibition welcomed many visitors, including steel companies from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, as well as engineers and sales representatives from European engineering companies. Some even proceeded to business negotiations on the spot, providing an opportunity to foresee business expansion.
Going forward, we will continue to conduct customer and distribution network research and strengthen our efforts to expand our materials and equipment business in the US market.
