MAFTEC™ Blanket

Our core product in sheet form that can be freely cut for use

MAFTECTM Blanket has a structure that is needle-punched from both surface and is composed solely of mullite fibers, containing no binders or additives. Its strong resistance to oxidizing atmospheres makes it suitable for continuous use in high-temperature environments, and even after long-term use, it maintains its original toughness, strength, and soft fiber structure. In addition, the shot (non-fibrous particle) content is extremely low, making it suitable for applications such as thermal insulation.

By leveraging these product characteristics and offering a variety of densities and sizes, we accommodate a wide range of applications in high-temperature environments. In response to increasing global environmental awareness and rising demand driven by stricter automotive industry regulations, we ensure stable supply to customers worldwide through rigorous quality control under an integrated production system.

An example of application development using MAFTECTM Blanket

Flame protection material for EVs / Stationary battery fire-protection sheet
Flame protection material for EVs
A component that blocks flames and ejecta from the battery pack when the lithium-ion battery installed in the vehicle floor ignites, protecting the cabin space. Compared with materials used for automotive catalytic converters, it is thinner while offering higher flame-shielding performance and particle-impact resistance.

Stationary battery fire-protection sheet
A component used to suppress the spread of fire to surrounding units in the event of a fire in stationary (grid-use) batteries. Like the flame-shielding material for EVs, it offers high flame-shielding performance.
